Participants will have the opportunity to work in dyads and small groups to recall meaningful places, events and encounters that they have experienced connecting with the earth. Beginning with childhood memories of special places, trees, animals and continuing to adult stages of witnessing our love and fears for rivers, forests, mountains and our own back yards, we will trace our interactions with the earth. We will tell stories that remind us of what we love about our planet and have an opportunity to craft spontaneous poetry that enlivens our spirits as we reconnect with the natural world’s gifts that inspire us to protect what we love.
